HPT 178

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals is the oldest theater group in the U.S. and the third-oldest in the world! Each February we put on a broadway-length run (40 shows!) of an original student-written comedy musical in Cambridge. Over spring break, we perform in New York City and Hamilton, Bermuda. One of Harvard's most beloved traditions, HPT puts on an original, student-written musical every year. Come be a part of our Band, Tech Crew, Cast, or Business Staff for HPT 178!

Joining the Pudding makes you a full-fledged member of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals! As a member, you’ll get access to the Hasty Pudding Clubhouse, where we host company events and share meals throughout the year. You’ll also travel with us on our post-Cambridge tour to New York City and Bermuda. You'll even get the chance to party with cool celebrities who visit the Pudding every year! CAST

Audition for the oldest theater organization in the country: the Hasty Pudding Theatricals! Cast members take on larger-than-life characters in this student-written and professionally-produced comedy musical, performing 8 shows a week from February to March—the rigorous and rewarding Broadway Schedule! If you want to join alumni like Larry O’Keefe (Legally Blonde, Heathers) and John F. Kennedy (yep), come to our auditions, which take place from Friday, September 4th to Sunday, September 6th.

BAND

Have a background in jazz, chamber, orchestra, or theater? Try out for the Pudding Pit, where Harvard’s top instrumental talent comes to play! Auditions will be held TBA Click the link below for more audition info.

TECH

Tech handles everything from costuming and props to lighting and set construction. They have a blast backstage and in the wings during every show, coordinating costume changes, props, and drops! There is no prior experience required, and the comp will take place in the Fall. If you like legos, you’ll like Tech.

BUSINESS

The Business Staff—BStaff—manages all the company’s finances and the logistical production of the show, including marketing, ticket sales, advertising, press, tour, and our Man and Woman of the Year events! There is no prior experience required, and the comp teaches you valuable business skills as you sell advertisements and tickets and so much more!
